We’ve seen that while most organizations rely on their GPOs to access competitive price points for supplies and services, they lean on departmental leadership and processes to manage existing expenses. Consequently, many “typical” strategies for managing non-labor expenses only address bits and pieces of the total non-labor cost equation and lack the rigor that is reserved for labor expenses.
