Darryl Greene is a vice president for the strategy and leadership practice at GE Healthcare Partners. He has more than 18 years of strategy to execution consulting experience, including 11 years in healthcare. He has significant expertise in strategic planning, business management systems implementation, talent management, performance improvement, leadership, and leading and executing transformational and culture change. His healthcare consulting experience includes serving as president of Greene & Network, LLC. This company offered unique services to c-suite and front-line leaders to map and navigate their organizations’ transformational change and deliver concrete results.
Additionally, Darryl served as executive director of Continuous Improvement for Cleveland Clinic. He was responsible for achieving excellence in business management, patient service, and reducing costs. He grew a strategic internal consulting group from 2 to 60 employees and partnered with clinical and non-clinical leaders at all levels of the system supporting those in disease based Institutes, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and administration functions. Leaders benefited by improving strategic planning and alignment skills, staffing and productivity, managing performance to balanced measures, and standardized day-to-day operations and care delivery. In 2012, Darryl co-authored the book Experiencing Improvement, which shares the applied experiences of caregivers in improvement work, as well as his approach of translating business and performance improvement practices from manufacturing and financial services settings into healthcare.
Darryl began his career at GE, where he held various leadership positions domestically and internationally over 11 years in manufacturing and engineering. During his time at GE Lighting, he helped launch and structure its Six Sigma process improvement program. At Maytag/Hoover, he expanded his performance improvement training and application skills to include Lean disciplines. While consulting at JP Morgan Chase, he focused on business management implementation and advancing culture change.
